No Churn Oreo Graham Cracker Ice Cream

I have been on an ice cream kick since making No Churn Coffee Oreo Ice Cream. If you’ve never made no churn ice cream, I highly suggest trying it. Since that recipe only uses part of a can of sweetened condensed milk, I had to try another flavor of ice cream. I still have tons of graham crackers from when I made my s’mores tarts and s’mores bars. Plus I have so many Oreo’s leftover from when I made Oreo cupcakes. I know, hard problems to have! The result is this No Churn Oreo Graham Cracker Ice Cream.

Since I wanted to use up the can of sweetened condensed milk, I only used what I had left. I ended up using only 1/2 cup instead of the 2/3 cup from the Coffee Oreo Ice Cream recipe. Honestly, I thought it was sweet enough and was delicious as is. I think the coffee ice cream definitely needs the full amount of condensed milk to balance out the espresso powder but this didn’t.

The combination of the crunchy Oreo’s and graham crackers with the creamy ice cream make this an irresistible combination. This ice cream is good, soooo good! It may even be better than the coffee ice cream. I know that’s a hard thing to believe but I love graham crackers and the subtle sweetness they bring to the party just pairs so well.

Other mix-in options

While I think this No Churn Oreo Graham Cracker Ice Cream is delicious as is, there are so many possibilities of things that you could add or use to replace the Oreo’s or graham crackers. Even with just Oreo’s, there are so many different flavors that would be fabulous in here. Replace the regular Oreo’s with mint Oreo’s for a minty hint. Peanut butter Oreo’s would be amazing as well.

Vanilla wafers would also work well in place of the graham crackers. Leave out the graham crackers and just have a cookies and cream ice cream. Leave out the Oreo’s and add some marshmallows and chocolate chunks to the graham crackers for a s’mores ice cream. That actually sounds amazing and I may have to try that!

Leave out the Oreo’s and make a fruity ice cream base instead. You could try lemon blueberry, lemon raspberry, or lime raspberry would all make for great flavor combinations. I may have to make one or two more ice cream flavors before summer is over!

Like with the coffee ice cream, I also drizzled salted caramel sauce on top of the ice cream and it was so good. I actually meant to swirl some in but I forgot, so on top it was! I like to heat up the caramel sauce. The warm sauce contrasts with the cold ice cream really well.

What are your mix-in suggestions? What would you mix into your ideal ice cream?

Cuisine American
Servings 8 1/2 cup scoops

Ingredients

  • 13 Oreo's, crushed and divided
  • 4 1/2 graham cracker sheets, broken into pieces and divided
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream cold
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, using a hand mixer, whip the heavy cream until you get soft peaks.
  • Add in the condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Beat until everything is well incorporated, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Fold in the 3/4 of the crushed Oreo's and 3/4 of the graham crackers pieces, being careful to not over mix and deflate the ice cream.
  • Pour into a 9×5 loaf pan and sprinkle ice cream with reserved Oreo's and graham crackers. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Notes

  1. You want to make sure you use heavy cream or heavy whipping cream.  Whipping cream and light whipping cream are not the same and contain less milk fat.  Heavy whipping cream whips up better and will hold its shape longer.
  2. To freeze, I used a loaf pan but if you want to store the ice cream longer, I would suggest an air tight container.
  3. Feel free to customize your mix-ins, I listed a couple of suggestions above.
